Flying C calls itself a modern day general store, and that is about right. The ranch raises its own beef on pasture and sells it by the cut or in bulk, then fills the rest of the shelves with other Arkansas producers.
That means locally raised pork and chicken, farm-fresh eggs, produce, jellies and jams, goat milk soap, salsa, pickles, pasta and pecans — the closest thing to a real general store in the Conway area.
The store keeps three days: Tuesday and Friday afternoons, one to six, and Saturday mornings, eight to one. About forty minutes north of Little Rock.
