Little Rock sits in the middle of its own hour, and unlike Memphis that hour never leaves the state — every farm on this page is in Arkansas. What changes is the direction you point the truck. West past Pinnacle Mountain, up Highway 300 and Highway 113 toward Roland, is where the berries are. Northeast through Cabot and on toward Searcy is the sandhill produce and most of the pasture-raised meat. South down I-530 there is one small dairy and no sign on the road.
The far edges of this ring are honest about being far. Searcy is an hour northeast, Bigelow about forty-five minutes west, Conway forty minutes north. We left them in because what comes off them doesn’t sell anywhere closer — and the farthest one west meets you at the Hillcrest market on Saturday morning anyway.

Three farms in this ring run pick-your-own. Two are out at Roland, west past Pinnacle Mountain: BoBrook Farms picks blueberries, blackberries and muscadines, and Wye Mountain Flowers and Berries picks eight varieties of blueberry and four of thornless blackberry, with buckets and liners provided and the fruit sold by the container. Northeast at Cabot, Barnhill Orchards picks strawberries, blackberries, blueberries and peaches off the Sandhills of Lonoke County. Wye Mountain’s berries run Memorial Day into mid-July — call 501-330-1906 for harvest conditions before you drive out.
Two farms here advertise it. Spann Farm at Redfield, about thirty minutes south down I-530, is a small family dairy whose whole Jersey herd is A2/A2, and the raw milk is sold on the farm only — call or text 501-416-1801 first, because there is no storefront, no website and no social page. Little Red River Ranch up toward Searcy advertises 100% grass-fed A2 milk alongside its meat and eggs; there is no walk-in store, so orders go through the ranch’s own storefront and are collected at scheduled pickup points.
Two farms, and both of them are choose-and-cut. Motley’s Pumpkin Patch and Christmas Trees, south of the city on Sandy Ann Drive, has been a family tree farm since 1982 — Carolina Sapphire, Leyland Cypress and Fraser Fir. Geisler’s Holiday Forest Christmas Tree Farm at Jacksonville hands you a bow saw for Leyland and Arizona cypress, Virginia and Eastern white pine or Eastern redcedar, and the hayride, the shaking and the netting come at no charge. Both open the day after Thanksgiving and both seasons are short — call ahead, 501-888-1129 for Motley’s and 501-224-3797 for Geisler’s.
