This is the fall lane of the Almanac — every farm we’ve listed that opens a pumpkin patch. Some of them grow pumpkins and little else. Most of them are places you already know from another lane, turning the same ground over once the berries or the peaches are finished.
What comes with the patch varies a good deal: a corn maze, a hayride, a petting barn, pony rides, a gate charge, or none of it — just a field and a wagon. We list what each farm publishes and put its own dates on its own page. Where a farm hadn’t posted this year’s season when we last checked, we say that instead of filling in a guess.

Patch season is short and weather-run — most of these open late September and are done by the first week of November. Weekends fill; some charge admission at the gate and price the pumpkins separately. Check the farm’s own page for this year’s dates before you load up the truck.
