Jaemor is a roadside market on Highway 365 at Alto, and it is the farthest row in this ring — about an hour and fifteen from downtown, under an hour if you’re already up in the north metro.
The market is the main event: peaches, produce off the farm, and a bakery whose fried pies are the reason a good many people pull off the highway at all. It’s open seven to six Monday through Saturday, and half past twelve to six on Sunday.
Out in the fields there’s u-pick strawberries, peaches and blackberries in season, and flowers and tulips to cut. Come fall it turns over to pumpkins and a corn maze.
