Moody Farms is on Valley Road at Oneonta, about forty-five minutes north of Birmingham. The family started it in 2014 and it works both ends of the fall and winter: a pumpkin patch and corn maze first, then cut-your-own Christmas trees.
Along with the field there is a petting zoo, horse rides and hayrides, a gift shop, and wreaths made on the place.
Tree-farm hours run Monday through Saturday, nine to four-thirty, and Sunday one to four-thirty. The corn maze keeps its own shorter week — Friday afternoons, Saturday, and Sunday afternoon.
This ring gets better every time somebody tells us about a place. Send it over — the farm’s name, its town, and where a person can buy what it grows. No fee, no ads sold against anybody, and every link points at the farm’s own page.
