Chilton County — Jemison and Clanton, where the peaches and the u-pick fruit are — is closer to forty-five. Oneonta is about the same going north. Every farm below carries its real town.
Two of them, Scratch Made Farm at Trussville and We All Eat here in the city, publish no street address at all. They are not stands you drive up to; they fill orders ahead and tell you where to meet. We list them as what they are rather than leave them off.

Three farms in this ring sell Christmas trees, and two of them say cut-your-own in so many words. Beavers Christmas Tree Farm at Trafford opens selected weekend dates from late November into mid-December — Virginia pine, white pine, Carolina Sapphire, Blue Ice and Leyland cypress, no Fraser firs, cash and checks only. Moody Farms at Oneonta runs cut-your-own Monday through Saturday, nine to four-thirty, and Sunday afternoons. Old Baker Farm at Harpersville keeps its tree farm open daily, nine to five, from the day after Thanksgiving through Christmas Eve, and does not say on its own page whether you cut it yourself. The dates move every year, so check before you go.
Two farms here advertise raw milk. Alleluia Acres Heritage Farm at Alabaster sells raw A2 cow milk and raw goat milk, labeled for pets, out of a self-serve mini market at the farm on Monday and Saturday afternoons. Stone Hollow Farmstead at Harpersville is a Grade-A dairy going back to 1999, and what it sells is goat cheese and a pantry line rather than bottled milk — day to day you buy it at the FarmStand at Pepper Place in Birmingham, because the farm itself is by appointment or event only.
Three. Durbin Farms Market at Clanton is open eight to eight every day. Petals From The Past at Jemison runs Tuesday through Saturday, nine to five, and Sunday afternoons, closed Monday. Alleluia Acres Heritage Farm keeps its self-serve mini market Monday and Saturday, one to six. The rest want a call or an order first: Scratch Made Farm and We All Eat publish no street address and work order-ahead, Stone Hollow Farmstead is appointment or event only, and Sweet Magnolia Farms takes orders through its own store and sets pickup with you.
