“Best Tasting Tomatoes in the Midwest”

— their words, off their own page

Herman’s is family owned and operated, about two miles north of Highway 370, running a produce stand and pick-your-own off the same ground.

The tomatoes are what they hang their name on — fifteen heirloom varieties — with peaches, peppers, zucchini, squash, watermelon, asparagus and strawberries alongside. What doesn’t go out fresh goes into jams, pie filling and apple butter, and there are flower baskets and bedding plants in the spring.

U-pick tomatoes and peaches come in through July and August; apples and pumpkins follow in September and October. They also run field trips, birthday parties and hayrides.
