Carlton Farm sits in Polk County, northwest of Atlanta, and has been in the family since 1919. There have been dairy cows milked here since Louie Carlton started the dairy in 1946, and the third, fourth and fifth generations are all working the place now.
What comes off it: raw milk and cultured dairy, grass fed beef, lamb, pasture raised pork, pastured poultry, free range eggs, raw honey, and fruits and vegetables. The farm store is open ten to six, Monday through Saturday.
You don’t have to drive out to Rockmart for it, either — they run farm-to-door delivery and pop-up pickup points around metro Atlanta.
In the fall there’s a five-acre corn maze, hay rides and pumpkins.
