Southern Belle Farm is a family place at McDonough, about thirty miles southeast of Atlanta, and it works the whole year in two halves.
Spring and summer is the picking half — strawberries, blackberries, blueberries, peaches, and zinnias you cut yourself. There’s a farm market and a bakery on the place, and an animal barn, all open ten to five.
Then the fall half opens September 19 with pumpkins and a corn maze. Until it does, they’re closed on Sundays.
