Kinsey is a family farm and nursery out on Jot-em Down Road in Hall County, and at Christmas it puts a wagon on a tractor and hauls you out to the field to cut your own.
What’s standing out there: Fraser, Douglas, Noble, Balsam and Nordmann firs, plus cypress, spruce, pine and cedar. If you’d rather not cut, they carry pre-cut and living trees too, along with wreaths, garland and tree stands.
The season opens the weekend before Thanksgiving. Mind the last tractor run out to the cutting field — half past five, and after that you’re looking at the pre-cuts.
The rest of the year it’s a nursery: plants, honey, jams and jellies.
This ring gets better every time somebody tells us about a place. Send it over — the farm’s name, its town, and where a person can buy what it grows. No fee, no ads sold against anybody, and every link points at the farm’s own page.
