Farms near Dallas & Fort Worth

u-pick & orchards, farm stands, raw milk and pastured meat around Dallas and Fort Worth
Ring No. 11Price: free
11 farms listed
The ring is drawn by drive time, not by county line.

Two cities, one ring. Every farm on this page is in Texas — no state line to cross, and none of these towns is anywhere but where we say it is — but an hour out of the metroplex covers a great deal of ground, and the farms sort themselves by which side of it you live on.

East of Dallas it’s fruit and pumpkins: Terrell, Rockwall, McKinney, Farmersville. South of Fort Worth it’s milk, meat and trees: Cleburne, Grandview, Alvarado. Northwest, out toward Decatur and Boyd, it’s pasture.

One farm sits farther out than the rest. Elves, up at Denison near the Oklahoma line, calls itself an hour north of Dallas, which is the outside edge of what we’d call this ring. We left it in and we’re saying so rather than quietly rounding the drive down.

Before you go

Call first, or check their own page. Half the farms on this page run two seasons and nothing in between, and several of them are shut right now on purpose — a closed banner in August usually means the crop is finished, not the farm. Where a farm publishes hours we list them. Where it doesn’t, we say so instead of guessing.

Asked & answered

Three questions
we get

Answered off this page’s own list — nothing here that isn’t above.

Where can you pick your own fruit near Dallas?

Two farms in this ring run pick-your-own, and both post their dates. Blasé Family Farm at Rockwall picks blueberries from the end of May into the beginning of July; its 2026 picking season has already closed. Pure Land Farm at McKinney picks mornings only, Wednesday through Sunday, nine to noon — and its banner now reads “CLOSED FOR 2026, Pickers!!”, which is the end of a season and not the end of a farm. Ham Orchards at Terrell is an orchard, not a u-pick: they have grown peaches since 1979 and sell them picked, at the market out front.

Can you get raw milk near Dallas and Fort Worth?

Two farms here advertise it, on opposite sides of the metroplex. N&P Farm & Dairy at Farmersville is a Texas-licensed Grade A raw dairy milking both goats and cows, open Wednesday ten to five and Saturday ten to two, with milk reserved ahead by text and a Saturday stall at the McKinney Farmers Market. All-Natchur-L Farm at Cleburne, south of Fort Worth, is a self-serve pickup open every day and all day, cash or check, off a pastured Guernsey, Jersey, Brown Swiss and Holstein herd — with drop points at Granbury, Aledo, Fort Worth, Burleson and Mansfield.

Where are the pumpkin patches and Christmas tree farms near Dallas?

Three patches and two tree farms, and two places do both. Sunset Hill Tree Farm at Alvarado runs the patch on October weekends, nine to five, then opens choose-and-cut the Friday after Thanksgiving at nine, weekends while supplies last. Elves Christmas Tree Farm and Pumpkin Patch up at Denison opens pumpkins Saturday, October 3, 2026 and runs every weekend that month, with trees after. Blasé Family Farm at Rockwall runs pumpkins only, September 19 through November 1, 2026. Dates move every year — check before you load the truck.

Farming inside
the hour?

If you raise it, grow it, milk it or cut it within about an hour of Dallas or Fort Worth and you’re not on this page, that’s our mistake and we’d like to fix it. Free listing, your links, your words, gone the day you ask.
