A family farm in the Flint Hills about an hour northeast of Wichita, going more than forty years now.
Twenty-five acres in pumpkins, gourds, squash and corn. A hayride runs out to the patch so you can pick your own, and paid admission covers the corn maze, the slides and the jumping pillows.
The kitchen turns out pumpkin ice cream, pumpkin bread, pumpkin chili, pumpkin salsa and apple nachos. The Haunt at Walters runs on fall weekends. The 2026 season opens September 19, and the place is closed outside the fall.
This ring gets better every time somebody tells us about a place. Send it over — the farm’s name, its town, and where a person can buy what it grows. No fee, no ads sold against anybody, and every link points at the farm’s own page.
