“The Best Family Fun in the Country”

— their words, off their own page

Cedar Hill sits on 120 acres off Love Road in Hernando, and around here it’s called the largest u-pick farm in DeSoto County. Strawberries, blackberries and blueberries come off the field in season.

There’s a country store on the place selling fresh eggs, local honey and produce, and The Barn restaurant alongside it. Field trips run seasonally.

In the fall it’s pumpkins. At Christmas it’s choose-and-cut cypress — Leyland, the richly scented Murray, and the aromatic Blue Ice and Smoke — with a limited run of pre-cut Fraser firs off the tree stand. Their tree page publishes the season and the daily hours, which is more than most farms do.

U-pick tickets are sold online and include a bucket, so look at the site before you drive out.
