River Queen Greens grows vegetables inside New Orleans, out on River Road, and runs a farm share that works differently than most: members choose their own vegetables at each pickup instead of taking whatever the box holds.
The spring season runs January into June, with pickup Tuesday evenings from four to seven at Press Street Gardens, 800 Homer Plessy Way. On-demand boxes are offered besides the share, and EBT customers get half off through a Market Match partnership.
Eggs, honey and seasonal fruit come through alongside the vegetables.
