This is a cleared-by-hand place. The family bought the property in 2000 when it was still woods, and what stands there now — blueberries, blackberries, muscadines, peaches, grapes — came out of that work.
Buckets are provided. There’s cold water, a restroom and a front porch, which after an hour in a blueberry row matters more than it sounds like it should.
Blueberry season runs roughly the first of June into late July; muscadines come on in August and hold into September. Picking updates go up on Facebook, and they ask you to call ahead at 601-382-3018 before you drive out.
